    Clearinghouse Q&A 2021

    By J Spangenberg | Clearinghouse | 0 comment | 7 January, 2021 |

How do you accomplish the annual requirement?

In order to meet the requirements, the employer has to complete a query for every employed driver, including owner operators, they have on their roster by January 5th, 2021.

Do annual queries also have to be a limited query?

No, by completing the limited query, it also validates the annual query requirement, as well as the pre-employment and other full query.

How do they track the annual query deadline?

They do this yearly, if an employer does the query for a driver on December 1st 2020, then they are not required to do another query until December 2, 2021.

Why is January 5th, the deadline for the annual query?

The Clearinghouse has been running since January 6th, 2020. As of January 6th, 2021, the Clearinghouse will turn a year old and that is why Jan 5th is the requirement date.

Employers who haven’t performed the query for all CDL drivers in their Drug Pool or Roster before January 6th, 2020, won’t meet the annual requirement.

Drivers that were hired after January 6th, 2020, have met the expectations of the pre-employment query and don’t have to worry about the query until 12 months later.
